About Us

Recyclenow.asia was launched on April 22nd 2018, to coincide with Earth Day, with the objective to encourage and promote ways in how people can reduce, reuse and recycle their garbage and take care of our planet. The goal of this website is to serve as a platform to educate and inform people about the importance of recycling and the positive impact it has on the world we live in.

Recyclenow.asia also aims to be a go-to website for all resources related to recycling to promote sustainability.

These include details on list of recycling centers, list of second-hand shops, places that collect old mobile phones and other e-waste materials, etc. People are also encouraged to share tips on recycling and recycling centers.

At recyclenow.asia, we believe that to make our planet green and healthy requires a little effort from each one of us. Collectively, we all can make a difference. So, let’s recycle now! If you have any recyclable materials such as paper, glass and plastic bottles, aluminum, tin cans, brass and metals, please visit our website to see where you can donate these items and if you are feeling creative, visit our DIY page.

Have a comment or feedback? We’d love to hear from you!

Why Recycling?

Did you know that it takes 450 years for one plastic bottle to completely decompose? Think about all the plastic materials that have been produced, spread across the globe, littered everywhere in our ocean, our land and even in our own backyard. (More)

What Can I Recycle?

Almost any product that are made of paper, plastic, glass, metals such as iron, brass and steel and textiles can be recycled. These are the most common ones that are used in the industry and would likely be recycled and reused again. (More)

Where Can I Recycle?

Before you start separating materials that you can recycle, it is important to be pragmatic in what items can be recycled. Once you segregate them, you can either reuse the ones that can be functional as household items and DIY crafts. The rest of the materials can be donated, dropped off or even sold to the “saleng people”, who ride through the streets in their tricycle-wagon, or “saleng”, often rummaging through Bangkok garbage to find things that they can sell to earn money. You can sell newspapers, cans, glass, metal, old clothes and many items to them for a nominal amount. The “saleng” usually weigh these materials by kilograms and will pay you in cash.

In order to recycle effectively, there are lots of efficient ways you can do it. One way is to look for drop-off points, shops and organizations that allow you to donate or sell your recyclable materials.

Here are some list of contacts that will be able to help your recycling efforts:

Do It Yourself!

Do you think recycling is boring? You’re wrong! Recycling is now more popular than ever. Plastic is a great invention, but it can cause terrible damage to the environment if not recycled. Fortunately, it is a flexible material that can be reused in creative ways. With so many fabulous ideas for recycling, you’ll think twice before throwing it away again! The list of possibilities is endless, but here are just a few easy and inexpensive craft ideas!
